Anyang Women’s Agenda, 2010
These are the photographic representations of women in public space in Korea, key components of the performance, Anyang Women’s Agenda, and transformed into a public art presentation in a park in the center of the city. Organized in collaboration with local politicians and activists, this series of unscripted conversations staged throughout Anyang, South Korea, featured more than one hundred Korean women of different occupations and socioeconomic statuses who came together to discuss how their experiences as women intersected with social and political issues they identified as urgent, such as opportunity in employment and education, individual financial stability during economic recession, and human impact on the environment.
