The Lady and the Lamb or The Goat and the Hag (1978)
In this short performance at Mills College for her good friend historian Moira Roth and Roth’s students, Lacy explored recurring images of a lamb carcass, a bed, and an aging woman. She emerged as an elderly woman hunched over and laboriously carrying around a wrapped body over her shoulder. Later Lacy tore the rags from the body of the Goat, with audiotaped texts accompanying the action.
